an online series of gatherings

(which is good for all of us)

As you likely already know if you're interested in this topic, race is a social construct with significant impacts historically and in our world today.
Racism is a systemic issue. It's baked into our world and systems in ways that remain invisible to many of us born into white-body privilege until we actively cultivate awakening more awareness in ourselves. This invisibility is not accidental - white body supremacy was specifically enacted to become invisible to those who benefit from it.
What many of us white-bodied folks may not know is that systemic and internalized white-body supremacy culture is harmful to us. Even while we benefit from it in certain ways and with systemic unearned privileges. This does not mean that our lives aren't hard, or that we don't likely also carry significant traumas in our bodies and families of origin.
This series of gatherings is to support us to unpack and share our experience in ways that help liberate us to be more fully here with minds aware, our hearts open, and present in our bodies.

It's especially hard to find an embodied response to what we're not aware of. Even when we're aware of systemic issues like racism and our whiteness intellectually, increasing our capacity to feel our own and others' subjective experiences helps us open compassion and wisdom. Our practice is a portal to peace, love and honoring our interconnection in an embodied way.
What some white racial healing practices miss is that white body supremacy is harmful for everyone, albeit in different ways.
Becoming aware of and liberating ourselves from the harmful impacts of white body supremacy improves our lives, and deepens connection with the world around us.
When groups of us face systemic issues together, a healing movement can begin to unfold. Witnessing social identity practices help us access the spaciousness within and between us to move in the direction of collective healing. As more of us learn to deepen our felt experience of systemic issues, we increase our capacity to stay related where often people polarize and lose relation.
