Somatic Sessions with Rhonda Mills
Fulfillment ~ Agency ~ Belonging
Live your authentic life.
Live your authentic life.
Rhonda Mills, Founder of Embodied Witnessing
Somatic sessions are for sensitive, deep-feeling people who have been operating as if something is missing or wrong with them, and who have been pushing aside aspects of themselves in trying to be whole, connected, empowered, clear, and authentic. People who are tired of tightening, pushing, draining their energy while self-abandoning, and pressuring themselves to get it right. Who know something needs to change.
Beneath all the efforting, the rhythm of your innate being is here.
It shows up as . . .
Grounding. Relational. An opening. Centered in yourself. Connected in your body, in your voice.
Saying yes when you mean yes and no when you mean no.
Connected and supported, having what you need inside you.
Lighter. Clearer. Moving with purpose and an open heart. Energy expressing outward in a flow.
Trusting life more. Freer to take full breaths, belly relaxed.
Free of circular thinking, boundaries intact, clear focused energy.
Access to your vulnerability, your strength, your longing, and your aliveness, eyes and neck soft.
Capacity to tend yourself, and tend what matters most to you.

~ Tightening, stressing, and trying harder to give care to others?
~ Prioritizing the other’s perspectives while gaslighting yourself about your own experience? ~ Suppressing your authentic expression to keep the peace? ~ Longing for more warmth, and afraid you will never find it? Or even worse, afraid that you don't deserve it? ~ Criticizing and pushing yourself no matter how much you achieve, and still believing it's not enough? ~ Dutifully carrying everything, wondering why your life looks fine, but doesn’t feel like yours? ~ Confining yourself to someone else’s mold for what your success or purpose should look like? ~ Trying to stay calm and high functioning, but your mind never really switches off? ~ Overwhelmed by what’s happening in the world, and struggling to know what you want to do? |
Many people who work with me have already tried some combination of therapy, coaching, or spiritual practice, and what was missing was something that connected across all of those. Their efforts to heal or get unstuck didn't reach the inner places that were numbed or hidden away, because the modality that was used was partial rather than holistic. Also, many approaches replicate socially hurt systems that enable a hurt form of inner heirarchy, which elevates one aspect and villainizes another.
Many people who work with me have already tried doing it alone, with an ideology of mental or spiritual 'power over' other parts of their experience, which can add to stress and doesn't support integration. Some people who work with me carry a belief that doing it alone, i.e. individual accomplishment, is the epitome of success. Both approaches are connected to a myth of progress through disconnecting from nature. What's missing in trying to do it alone is that many wounds originally happened in relation, so they will get activated in relation. These wounds can only be restored in relation. If the method to heal has hidden aspects of collective wounds within it (domination paradigm, inner tyranny), the results can only be partial, at best.

What makes this journey different
This journey includes your whole system: your physical experience and sensing, your emotions and what you believe about yourself, what you carry from your past and your people, what you’re longing for, your lived experience and interpretation of the world around you.
When you know how to connect with your natural humanness through your body, emotions, history, and longing, your connection becomes the ground which moves you forward. You experience a sense of wholeness, a kind of inner diversity with all parts of you included. Your problems are a step in a process. What you need lives in a real, embodied, relational orientation toward what is already in you. What is already moving through you.
When you refine how you listen to your felt experience, a shift happens. You're not only inside the problem any more. You connect with your experience of what's difficult not as a problem to fix, but as a fundamental signal that gives you powerful information. From there, your emotions begin to unfold meaning. Your choices become clearer. You find your own unique way forward.
It works because you discover what is available inside you both from your direct body experience and through relational mirroring, showing you how to be with yourself, to include more of yourself. You come to understand your own process. Where your body signals you, your feelings unfold meaning for you, and you choose how and where you want to express yourself. That learning doesn’t stay in the session. It moves with you into your daily life.

Who I am in this work
I’m Rhonda. As a long-time practitioner and guide, what I offer is grounded in lived experience as much as in any training. I know this territory from the inside.
What people consistently tell me is that something shifts in how they understand themselves when they are with me. My particular gift is that I reflect back what I see in you with warmth and precision. I meet you where you are and mirror back your experience and wholeness. I show you how to connect with your experience, so you can be more clear, aligned with your deepest priority, and practically navigate from the inside out.
I bring a systemic view which includes your present experience and intention, and may include what is echoing from your past or your people, adaptations you needed in order to survive, beliefs you hold, what you long for now. I help you locate what parts of your experience go where. Past, present, future. Inside you, outside you, in the relational space, in the collective.
This is not therapy or coaching in the traditional sense, nor is it a bypass of your lived experience. I don’t reduce things to a diagnosis or a technique, or proclaim things about you. It's a process of melting what you no longer need to carry, at your body's pace, while touching the innate safety and beauty your body also holds. It's relational. Between you and your body. Between you and the unseen memory you carry. Between the life you've lived and the life your nervous system still believes it has to survive. Between you and me.
I meet your experience with genuine care and compassionate inquiry. You find your orientation through your own embodied experience and with relational mirroring and inquiry. When mirroring happens, something clicks into place. That can feel like grounding, settling, flow, expansion, a deeper breath, a wave of energy, a sense of warmth.
Your process is held with care, rigor, and full respect every step of the way.

What becomes possible
|
~ You unlock an inner source of connection
~ You plug into your inner strength and resilience ~ Your emotions become essential information, and your innate value becomes palpable to you ~ You trust your own experience, and that trust shows up in how you navigate your choices ~ You claim your authentic expression as a natural outpouring of who you are ~ You experience a growing sense of belonging in life, and in the world |
What was once a struggle becomes a doorway. The way you hold your own experience changes. Your healing is no longer only personal. It ripples outward, into your relationships, your creative work, and the collective change you care about. You discover that showing up as yourself is both your deepest gift and your most direct contribution.
